DEFIANCE, Ohio – The Defiance College women's soccer team dropped a defensive battle on Tuesday, October 20, falling 2-0 to Indiana Tech. The Jackets, who were missing two key starters due to injury, fall to 4-9-1 with the loss.
Indiana Tech took an early lead when Christina Will found the net six minutes into the first half to put the Warriors up 1-0. The two teams battled through a long scoreless stretch before Tech's Stephanie Wilson scored at the 62:25 mark to put the Yellow Jackets away for good.
Junior goalkeeper Kelly Coble registered ten saves in the game, which places her second in the HCAC with 121 saves on the season. Lauren Ranalli led Defiance offensively with three shots in the match.
The Jackets (4-9-1) will return to action on Saturday, October 24, when they host HCAC foe Hanover College (9-4-1), beginning at 1:00 p.m.
