Bio
Damon Sims comes to Defiance from the University of Pittsburg at Johnstown. While at UPJ Damon was a 3-time NCAA Division II National Qualifier earning All-American honors his senior year. DJ earned 78 victories on the mat; all while earning Academic All-American honors 4 years running.
While in Pennsylvania DJ was involved with coaching and mentoring youth wrestlers at the prestigious Young Guns Wrestling Club which is the #1 Ranked K-12 Wrestling club in the country.
A native of Aliquippa, Pennsylvania, Sims earned his bachelor’s degree in Human Resources and Marketing in 2018.
