Head Coach Tony Guerra at the Forefront of Regional and National Recognition in 2019

DEFIANCE, OHIO - Tony Guerra, Defiance College head wrestling coach, has been at the forefront of regional and national recognition in 2019. Guerra was inducted into the NCAA Divison II Wrestling Hall of Fame in early March. Prior to the national induction, Guerra also found his name on the University of Findlay's Athletic Hall of Fame ballot in January.

MANHEIM, PA. - Freshman Rosendo Beltran (Toledo/Central Catholic) was named a member of the 2018-19 National Wrestling Coaches Association Division III All-Academic Team announced Thursday afternoon.

Beltran Leads Yellow Jackets at NCAA DIII Regional

CRAWFORDSVILLE, IND. - The Defiance College wrestling program wrapped up the 2018-19 season at the 2019 NCAA DIII Central Regional Tournament on Saturday. The Yellow Jackets headed to Wabash College for the competition, finishing 18 of 19 as a team. Rosendo Beltran (Toledo/Central Catholic) was the high finisher for DC, taking home an 8th place finish in the 125 pound class.

Yellow Jackets Finish Regular Season with Fifth Place Result

ALMA, MICH. - The Defiance College wrestling team headed to Alma College on Saturday morning to participate in the Mid-States Invitational. Top finishers for the Yellow Jackets were Alex Smith (Castalia / Sandusky St. Mary's) and Cortez Bradley (Garfield / Warrensville Heights) with fourth place results, and Hunter Mcnutt (Oregon / Clay) with an eighth place finish.

DEFIANCE, OHIO - The Defiance College wrestling team hosted their final dual of the season on Tuesday evening. The Yellow Jackets took on a talented Adrian College side, falling to the MIAA foe 25-14.

Wrestling Caps Busy Day with Victory

CLEVELAND, OHIO - The Defiance College wrestling team made a trip east saturday for a pair of duals. The Yellow Jackets first took on hosts Case Western Reserve, falling in a nail-biting contest, 23-20. The Jackets looked for redemption in the second dual of the day, taking on Kent State Tuscarawas. DC prevailed in the contest with a final team score of 38-8.

WHEATON, ILL. - The Defiance College wrestling program headed west this past weekend as they traveled to Wheaton College to take on a talented field at the Pete Wilson Wheaton Invitational. The Yellow Jackets finished 35th of 38 in the highly competitive field.

SYLVANIA, OHIO - The Defiance College men's wrestling team returned to action on Wednesday evening, heading to Lourdes University to take on the Gray Wolves. In yet another thrilling dual, the Yellow Jackets came up short by just three points, 25-22.

Defiance Wrestling Returns Home in Dramatic Fashion

DEFIANCE, OHIO - The Defiance College wrestling program returned to the Karl H. Weaner Center for the first time in nearly 30 years on Thursday evening. After the completion of action, the sides found themselves tied at 21-21, with Mount St. Joseph ultimately winning via tiebreaker rules.
