Women's Golf opens season at Trine Invite

The Defiance women's golf team opened the 2021 fall season at the Trine Invite on Friday afternoon.

The Basics

• The event took place at the Zollner Golf Course in Angola, Indiana.
• The Yellow Jackets finished in fifth out of a six-team field
• As a team, Defiance shot a combined team score of 406.
• Trine placed first at the event with a score of 340.

On The Course

• Freshman Alexis Devries led the Yellow Jackets shooting an 89 and finished tied for ninth out of a 33-golfer field.
• Junior Mari Najar shot a 94 and ending the event in 14th.
• Freshman Winter Boroff finished the day shooting a 107, tying her for 22nd.
• Freshman Aubrey Bujalski shot a score of 116 and placed 28th.

• The Yellow Jackets next compete at the Polar Bear Classic with Round 1 beginning on Sunday, September 5 and Round 2 starting the next day on Monday, September 6.
