Women's Golf Faces HCAC Preview

BLUFFTON, Ohio - The Defiance College women's golf team made the short trip to Bluffton University this weekend to take on the field at the HCAC Preview. 

Maricella Najar (Adrian, Mich. / Madison) led the Purple and Gold at the event with her over ten stroke improvement from between round one and round two. The freshman shot a 106 on Saturday before dropping to a 94 on Sunday. Her 200 total score landed her tied for 58th on the weekend. 

The Yellow Jackets will have one more tune-up event before the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference Championships as they travel to Wooster and the Eva Shorb Weiskopf Invite on October 5-6. Action on Saturday is slated for 11:00 am.
