Women's Golf Competes at Heidelberg Fall Invite

TIFFIN, Ohio - The Defiance College women's golf team continued their stretch of fall invitationals on Saturday and Sunday as they visited Heidelberg for the two-day event. 

Maricella Najar (Adrian, Mich. / Madison) led the Yellow Jackets over the weekend. The freshman shot a 94 in round one of action before returning on Sunday with a 102. Najar landed tied for 49th at the end of the weekend. 

Julia Yeager (Defiance / Defiance) was the lone other competitor for DC to take the course. Yeager's 206 combined round score landed her 66th in the field. 

Head Coach Allen Curtiss' Yellow Jackets will return to action September 21-22 as they make the short trip to Bluffton, Ohio for the HCAC Preview.
