Women's Golf Post Years Best Performance

BLUFFTON, OHIO - The Defiance College women's golf team posted its best performance of the 2018-19 season as they finished sixth overall in the eight team field with a 36-hole total of 807 (396-411) strokes.

Defiance was led on the day by freshman Shelby Mercer finishing 20th overall with 185 (92-93) strokes.

Junior Emily Sabsook carded a 34th place finish in the 44 player field with 206 (96-110) strokes, while freshman Kate Osborne finished 36th overall with 211 (102-109) strokes followed by freshman Morgan Beaverson in 37th place with 212 (113-99) strokes.

Freshman Heather Jogerst rounded out the scoring for the Purple and Gold finishing 42nd overall with 229 (106-123) strokes.

The Yellow Jackets return to action on Saturday, Sept. 29 as they compete at the HCAC Preview.
