Women's Golf Competes at the Heidelberg Fall Invitational

TIFFIN, OHIO - The Defiance College women's golf team competed this weekend at the Heidelberg Fall Invitational finishing 14th of the 15 team field.

DC was led on the day by freshman Shelby Mercer (Canton/Glenoak) finishing 54th overall with a two day total of 205 (101-104). 

Sophomore Emily Sabsook (Charlevoix, Mich.) finished 59th overall with 207 (99-108) strokes, followed by freshman Heather Jogerst (McClure/Otsego) in 70th place with 224 (113-11) strokes.

Freshman Kate Osborne (Conneaut) carded a 70th place finish with 224 (117-107) strokes to round out the scoring for DC.

Freshman Morgan Beaverson (Sylvania/Southview) competed as an alternate finishing 77th with 241 strokes.

Defiance returns to action on Saturday, Sept. 22 at the Bluffton Invitational.
