Yellow Jackets Host the Defiance Invitational

SWANTON, OHIO - The Defiance College women's golf team played host to the Defiance Invitational Saturday afternoon at the White Pines Golf Course in Swanton, Ohio. The Purple and Gold registered an eighth place finish in the 10 team field.

Defiance tallied a combined score of 403 strokes led by freshman Shelby Mercr with 94 strokes, tying her for 28th place.

Freshman Carrigan Browning finished 31st overall carding a 95, while sophomore Emily Sabsook claimed a 45th place finish with 106 strokes followed by Morgan Beaverson with 109 strokes.

Freshman Kate Osborne rounded out the scoring for DC as she registered a 110 strokes and a 48th place finish. 

The Yellow Jackets return to action on Sat., Sept. 15 as they travel to Mohawk Country Club for the Heidelberg Invitational.
