Lady Jackets Fall to the Panthers
HANOVER, Ind. – The Lady Jackets were handed their second conference loss of the season on the road at Hanover on Saturday, December 12. The Jackets were defeated, 94-78, and fall back to .500 with a 4-4 overall record and a 2-2 record in Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference competition.

Defiance could not overcome a Hanover team that put 53 points on the board in the first half and had five players score in double digits. Both teams shot 31-of-68 from the field, but for the first time all season, the Lady Jackets were out-shot from long-range. Hanover hit eight of its 14 three-point field goal attempts and outscored the Jackets by ten in fast-break points. Hanover also earned 30 free-throw attempts on their home floor and outscored the Jackets by 13 points from the charity stripe.
Mandie White continued her solid play, posting 16 points on seven-of-10 shooting and a game-high 15 rebounds. Tasha Stucke matched White's point total with 16 of her own to go along with four assists and three steals. Shavonda Price was the Jackets leading scorer, posting 18 points, six rebounds and a game-high three blocks.
The Yellow Jackets will host the College of Wooster (1-5) on Wednesday, December 16. before hosting the Hubbard Company – Pro Rehab Tournament on the 18th and 19th Their match against Wooster is scheduled to begin at 6:00 p.m.
