Jackets' Trio Earns All-HCAC Honors

The all-conference selections are nominated and voted on by the league's head coaches and are announced by the HCAC conference office.
Price established herself as one of the most versatile athletes in the conference in her initial campaign with the Jackets, earning a spot on the HCAC All-Freshman Team to go along with her Honorable Mention All-HCAC honors. The five-foot, eight-inch guard finished the season as DC's third-leading scorer, dropping in 10.2 points a game. Price led Defiance with five double-doubles, while also tallying 39 steals, 38 assists and 19 blocks on the year.
Stein received All-HCAC honors for the first time in her career, after leading the team with 11.9 points per game. The sophomore guard reached double-figures in 15 of her 20 games this season, while ranking third in the conference with her 1.45 three-point field goals per contest. Stein pulled down 102 rebounds on the year to go along with her 34 assists and 24 steals. The Fort Recovery, Ohio native is one of the most prolific free-throw shooters in DC history, ranking second all-time with her career 85.9 percent shooting percentage from the charity stripe.
Stucke set career-highs in nearly every statistical category, making her first appearance on the All-HCAC Team. The sophomore guard's 98 assists ranked her third in the conference, as she dished out nearly one-third of DC's total assists on the year. The Defiance floor general was also second in the league with an assist-to-turnover ratio of 1.36, while ranking ninth in steals with 46 on the season. The Coldwater, Ohio native heated up over the final five games of the 2008-09 campaign, averaging 10.6 points, 6.0 assists and 2.2 steals per game in those contests.
