The Defiance softball team took down HCAC foe Franklin on Friday afternoon to finish the regular season. The won Game 1, 7-0, and won a tightly contested battle in Game 2, 2-1.

The Defiance softball team took down HCAC foe Franklin on Friday afternoon to finish the regular season. The won Game 1, 7-0, and won a tightly contested battle in Game 2, 2-1.

Game 1
Inside The Numbers
- Senior Taylor Biggs started on the mound and pitched the entire game to earn the shutout win. She allowed no runs with seven hits and struckout four batters.
- Freshman Destiny Coil led the Yellow Jackets at the plate with two hits and two RBIs.
- Senior Hali Geraci added two hits during the game.
- Junior Marissa Roberts, sophomore Brooke Silcox, junior Josilyn Guzman, senior Sophie Moller each recorded one hit and one RBI.
- Freshman Amber Krause chipped in one hit.
- Sydney Pitts pitched all seven innings for Franklin and allowed seven runs off nine hits.
- Makayla Plymale led the Grizzlies with two hits.

- Defiance scored three runs in the fifth to make it 4-0 off RBI hits from Coil and Guzman.

- Freshman Anika Craft came in for relief and pitched the last 1.1 innings to earn her first career save.
- Moller and Krause led Defiance with one hit and one RBI at the plate.
- Senior Kalin Hubble and Coil each added one hit during the contest.
- Stephanie Kleber started in the circle for the Grizzlies and pitched all seven innings. She allowed two runs off four hits.

- The Yellow Jackets grabbed their two runs in the second inning off RBI doubles from Moller and Krause to take an early 2-0 lead.
- Franklin scored their first run in the third inning to make it 2-1.
