Softball to Begin Season in Florida

DEFIANCE, OHIO - The Defiance College softball program's 2019 schedule was announced Thursday morning. DC is set to begin the season with a trip to Clermont, Fla., where they will participate in The Spring Games. 

The Yellow Jackets will begin a rapid schedule of games as they take on Johnson & Wales University and Augustana College on day one in Florida. The annual trip will conclude with a contest against Wartburg College on March 8th. 

The Purple and Gold will begin their home season with a double-header against Kalamazoo on March 16th before hitting the road for a spell of non-conference games. 

Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference play is set to begin on Saturday, March 30th, as the Yellow Jackets host Hanover. Wrapping up the regular season, DC will play host to Franklin as part of Senior Day on April 27th. 

The 2019 HCAC Softball Tournament is slated to begin on Friday, May 3rd and conclude on Sunday, May 5th.
