Perry Earns All-Central Region Honors

DEFIANCE, OHIO – Freshman Emma Perry (Bowling Green/Otsego) earned Second Team National Fastpitch Coaches Association NCAA Division III All-Central Region honors announced Wednesday afternoon.

All-Region players are nominated and selected by NFCA member coaches in each of the eight Division III regions.  

Perry appeared in all 37 games as the starting catcher for the Purple and Gold. The freshman registered 120 at-bats with 53 hits and a team-best 32 RBI.

She tallied 17 runs, nine doubles and three homeruns for a team-leading .442 batting average ranking her among the best in the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference.

Perry was also named Second Team All-Conference for her efforts this season.

The Yellow Jackets concluded the season 23-14 overall, 10-6 HCAC and advanced to the semi-finals of the Conference Tournament.
