DC Has 22 Spring Athletes Earn Academic All-HCAC Honors

GREENWOOD, IND. – The Defiance College spring athletic teams had 22 student-athletes named to the Tom Bohlsen All-Academic Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference list for the spring sport season.

The Tom Bohlsen Academic All-HCAC award is given to those student-athletes in the HCAC with a cumulative grade point average of at least a 3.5 and participate in varsity athletics.  The student-athletes are also full-time students and have completed a full academic year.  The award is named after Tom Bohlsen who was the first commissioner of the HCAC from 1998 to 2008.

DC had 22 students selected to the Academic All-HCAC list.  A combined ten members of the Yellow Jacket outdoor track and field teams made the list.  The softball team had five individuals named Academic All-HCAC and the men's tennis team had three athletes earn the recognition.  The baseball and men's golf team both had two players selected Academic All-HCAC.
