14 Spring Student-Athletes Named Academic All-HCAC
GREENWOOD, IND. – The Defiance College spring athletic teams had 14 student-athletes named to the Tom Bohlsen All-Academic Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference list.
GREENWOOD, IND. – The Defiance College spring athletic teams had 14 student-athletes named to the Tom Bohlsen All-Academic Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference list.
The Tom Bohlsen Academic All-HCAC award is given to those student-athletes in the HCAC with a cumulative grade point average of at least a 3.5 and participate in varsity athletics. The student-athletes are also full-time students and have completed a full academic year. The award is named after Tom Bohlsen who was the first commissioner of the HCAC from 1998 to 2008.
DC had 14 students selected to the Academic All-HCAC list. The women's outdoor track & field team had four athletes named to the list. Men's tennis had three players put on the list. Baseball, softball and men's outdoor track and field teams each had two athletes. Men's golf had one player make the Academic All-HCAC list.
