GREENWOOD, Ind. – The Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference announced its spring honorees for the Tom Bohlsen Academic All-HCAC Team on Tuesday, with Defiance placing 11 student-athletes on the list to bring its 2010-2011 total up to 38.

DC Softball Falls to Anderson in HCAC Championship Game

LEXINGTON, Ky. – The Yellow Jackets were six outs away from claiming their third HCAC Championship in four seasons, but Anderson rallied to beat Defiance and claim the conference crown. DC fell 3-0 in game one and suffered a 6-4 extra-inning loss in the nightcap to end its postseason run.

Softball Extends Winning Streak with Sweep of Rose-Hulman

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. – Two weeks ago, the Yellow Jackets were 5-4 in the HCAC and at risk of missing the conference tournament. Today, the Jackets improved to 10-4 in the conference with a sweep of Rose-Hulman, and have clinched a spot in the HCAC Tournament.

DEFIANCE, Ohio – Marah Robinson made her Senior Day one to remember. The senior slugger went six-for-six on the day with five RBI, including a two-run jack that sparked a late-inning rally for Defiance to seal a series sweep at home against Manchester College.

Bowers Powers Yellow Jackets to Sweep of Hanover

DEFIANCE, Ohio – Shauna Bowers notched her third complete-game shutout of the season as the Jackets rolled over Hanover, 6-0, in the first contest, and came through with a save in game two, when Defiance completed the series sweep with a 6-3 victory.
