Marah Robinson Named to NFCA Division III All-Region Team
STARKVILLE, Miss. – Defiance College standout outfielder, Marah Robinson, has been named to the National Fastpitch Coaches Association Div. III Central Region Second Team.
STARKVILLE, Miss. – Defiance College standout outfielder, Marah Robinson, has been named to the National Fastpitch Coaches Association Div. III Central Region Second Team. She was one of three players from the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference to be selected to the first or second team.
Robinson anchored the Yellow Jackets' offense from her cleanup spot all season long, posting team-highs in hits, runs batted in, slugging percentage, total bases and on-base percentage. Her 52 hits, 77 total bases and .664 slugging percentage ranked fourth in the HCAC, while her .448 batting average was second-best in the conference. Robinson also posted the best single-season on-base percentage in school history, reaching base 51.5 percent of the time to rank second in the HCAC.
The two-time All-HCAC performer, and former HCAC Freshman of the Year, also became the school's all-time homeruns leader this year with four long balls to total 16 homeruns during her first three seasons. In addition to her offensive production, Robinson recorded 62 putouts and four assists while posting a .985 fielding percentage from her centerfield position.
