Cross Country Competes at the HCAC Championships
SHELBYVILLE, IND. - The Defiance College men's cross country team competed at the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference Championships on Saturday afternoon finishing 10th in the 10 team field.
SHELBYVILLE, IND. - The Defiance College men's cross country team competed at the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference Championships on Saturday afternoon finishing 10th in the 10 team field.
Rose-Hulman won the team title, followed by Hanover in second place.
Defiance was led on the day by freshman Skyler JoHangten (West Unity/North Central) in 69th place with a time of 31:21.7, followed by senior Daren Gies (Plymouth) in 79th place in a time of 32:31.5.
Sophomore Tyler Hines (Cincinnati/ Northwest) finished 82nd overall, while freshman Cameron Reed rounded out the scoring with a 93rd place finish in the 97 runner field.
The Yellow Jackets will next be in action on Saturday, Nov. 10 as they compete at the NCAA Regionals.
