Defiance Has 22 Student-Athletes Named Academic All-HCAC

GREENWOOD, IND. – The Defiance College fall athletic teams had 22 student-athletes named to the Tom Bohlsen All-Academic Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference list for the fall semester.

The Tom Bohlsen Academic All-HCAC award is given to those student-athletes in the HCAC with a cumulative grade point average of at least a 3.5 and participate in varsity athletics.  The student-athletes are also full-time students and have completed a full academic year.  The award is named after Tom Bohlsen who was the first commissioner of the HCAC from 1998 to 2008.

DC had 22 students selected to the Academic All-HCAC list.  Seven members of the Yellow Jacket football team made the list.  The women's tennis, women's cross country and volleyball teams each had three individuals named Academic All-HCAC.  The women's soccer, men's soccer and men's cross country teams all had two student-athletes represented.
