Defiance Places 28th in Wilmington Pre-Nationals Meet
MASON, OHIO – The Defiance College men’s cross country team traveled to Mason, Ohio to compete in the Wilmington Pre-National Meet and finished 28th out of a field of 31 teams.
MASON, OHIO – The Defiance College men's cross country team traveled to Mason, Ohio to compete in the Wilmington Pre-National Meet and finished 28th out of a field of 31 teams.
Colin Krick (Hicksville/Antwerp Local) led the Yellow Jackets crossing the line in a time of 26:45.13 to score 181st. Jaymes Cole (Vero Beach, Fla,/Vero Beach) was the second finisher in the race, finishing with a time of 27:56.35 to score 256th. Diego Sanchez (Kissimmee, Fla./Celebration) was right behind Cole crossing the line at 27:57.61 finishing 257th. Andrew Senecal (North Baltimore) crossed fourth for the Yellow Jackets with a time of 28:39.88 placing 290th.
Zach Roush (Nashville, Ind./Brown County) rounded out the scoring for DC placing 326th with a time of 29:53.79. Jacob Rindler (St. Henry) and Sebastian Rue (Defiance/Ayersville) finished behind Roush crossing the line at 30:02.94 and 30:53.40 respectively.
Defiance finished with 847 points in the event, finishing 28th overall as a team.
The Yellow Jackets turn around and travel to Cedarville, Ohio to compete in the All-Ohio Championships, Friday, Oct. 3. The race is scheduled to start at 2 p.m.
