DC look strong at #JennaStrong Fall Classic
WILMINGTON, Ohio – The Defiance College Cross Country Team traveled to Wilmington for the #JennaStrong Fall Classic.
WILMINGTON, Ohio – The Defiance College Cross Country Team traveled to Wilmington for the #JennaStrong Fall Classic.
DC finished 24th overall in a race that involved 38 teams which included a few DI and DII schools. Seven Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference teams made the trip, the Yellow Jackets finished third in that group.
DC was once again led by Colin Krick (Hicksville, Ohio / Antwerp Local). The sophomore ran a 28:00.26 which was good enough for 121st place out of the 373 runners.
Coming in next was Clayton Bruggeman (St. Henry, Ohio / St. Henry) with a 28:43.00. His time slotted him in the 172nd position.
Diego Sanchez (Kissimmee, Fla. Celebration) would finish in the three spot for DC. His time of 28:46.86 was good for 182nd place.
Also coming in under then 200 line was Jaymes Cole (Vero Beach, Fla. / Vero Beach). He finished in 192nd place with a 29:03.10.
Rounding out the scoring for the Yellow Jackets was Jacob Rindler (St. Henry, Ohio / St. Henry). He ran a 29:21.61 for a 205th place finish.
Those five Yellow Jackets put together a team score of 708 points.
Andrew Senecal (North Baltimore, Ohio / North Baltimore), Zach Roush (Nashville, Ind. / Brown County), and Sebastian Rue (Defiance, Ohio / Ayersville) also made the trip for DC. They finished with times of 29:42.92, 30:28.23, and 30:55.62, respectively.
The HCAC Championship is up next for the Yellow Jackets. On November 1 they will travel to Richmond, Indiana to compete for the conference title. Start time is set for noon.
