Men’s Harriers Finish Fifth at HCAC Championship Meet
VERSAILLES, Ky. – The men’s cross country team earned 139 points on Saturday to place fifth at the HCAC Championships for the second-straight season. Manchester took top honors in the team results with 39 points, while Franklin’s Kevin Martin led all individuals with a time of 25:48.05 on the 8k course.

DC's Justin Perkins placed 12th overall to lead the Jackets for the second-straight season after placing 24th in last season's conference championship meet. The junior runner crossed the line in 26:55.10 to crush his time from a year ago by 97 seconds while posting his best performance of the season and earning a spot on the All-HCAC list.
Seth Bidlack, Madison Murphy and Aaron Fraley were the next three runners to finish for Defiance, with all three of them posting their best times of the season. Bidlack finished in 27:25.95 for a 21st-place finish, Murphy placed 32nd with a time of 27:58.43, and Fraley crossed the line in 28:19.15 for a 39th-place finish. Joe Davis came in fifth for DC at 28:43.54 to round out the scoring.
Two meets remain on the Yellow Jackets' schedule with the NCAA Div. III Regional Championships taking place on Nov. 13, and the national championships being held one week later.
