Castillo Named the HCAC Male Field Athlete of the Week

RICHMOND, IND. - Senior Javier Castillo (Nogales, Ariz.) was named the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference Male Field Athlete of the Week announced Tuesday afternoon by the league office.

Castillo led the Yellow Jackets at the Spartan Invitational hosted by Case Western Reserve on Saturday afternoon as he claimed top finishes in the discus and hammer throw.

The senior won the discus throw with a new season best distance of 43.65 meters, while taking fourth in the hammer throw with a toss of 46.62 meters. 

The Purple and Gold return to action on Friday, April 26 as they travel to Cincinnati for the HCAC Track & Field Championships.
