Jackson Leads DC at the Indiana Wesleyan Invitational
MARION, IND. - The Defiance College men's track and field team competed at the highly competitive Indiana Wesleyan Invitational on Saturday afternoon.

Sophomore Vince Jackson led the way with a third place finish in the high jump with a height of 1.87 meters, while freshman Percy Daniel claimed seventh with a jump of 1.77 meters.
Senior Javier Castillo led the Yellow Jackets with a fourth place finish in the hammer throw with a distance of 48.99 meters, while senior Andrew Fahler took sixth with a toss of 47.56 meters.
Also in the hammer throw, senior James Baranoski, Jr. claimed tenth with a distance of 43.89 meters.
Castillo also captured a ninth place finish in the discus throw with a toss of 40.98 meters.
Also in the discus, sophomore Spencer Ross finished eighth with a distance of 45.50 meters.
Sophomore Gabriel Caris claimed a ninth place finish in the 400-meter race with a time of 51.91, while also taking 12th in the 200-meter race in a time of 23.28.
Defiance returns to action on Saturday, March 30 as they travel to Cedarville, Ohio for the Yellow Jackets Invitational.
