Jackson Leads DC at the HCAC Indoor Championships
DEFIANCE, OHIO - The Defiance College men's track & field team hosted the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference Indoor Track & Field Championships finishing 00 overall led by Vince Jackson in the high jump.
DEFIANCE, OHIO - The Defiance College men's track & field team hosted the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference Indoor Track & Field Championships finishing 6th overall led by Vince Jackson in the high jump.
Rose-Hulman won the Championship with 199.5 points, while Hanover took second with 152 points.
Jackson won the high jump to pace the way for DC with a height of 1.97 meters.
Javier Castillo posted a strong performance in the weight throw taking third place with a toss of 16.04 meters, while also taking ninth in the shot put with a distance of 13.11 meters.
Also in the shot put, James Baranoski, Jr. captured a fourth place finish with a toss of 13.96 meters , moving him into sixth all-time in DC history.
On the track, Gabrial Caris claimed third in the 400-meter dash with a time of 51.60, moving him into fourth all-time in DC history. Cody Drumm-Turner took sixth in the 60-meter dash in a time of 7.37.
The Yellow Jackets return to action on Saturday, February 23 as they compete at the Fred Wilt Last Chance meet hosted by Anderson.
