Men's Track and Field Claims Sixth Place Spot in Preseason Poll
GREENWOOD, IND. - The Defiance College men's outdoor track and field team was picked to finish sixth in the preseason Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference poll that was released Wednesday afternoon.
GREENWOOD, IND. - The Defiance College men's outdoor track and field team was picked to finish sixth in the preseason Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference poll that was released Wednesday afternoon.
The Yellow Jackets finished with 49 points, ahead of Franklin (38), Earlham (37), Transylvania (19), and Mount St. Joseph (10).
In 2016-17, Defiance claimed a ninth place finish out of 10 teams at the HCAC Outdoor Championships.
Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology was the unanimous pick to win claiming all 10 first place votes. Anderson, Hanover, Manchester, and Bluffton rounded out the top half of the poll selected by coaches around the conference.
The Defiance College track team will open its season on Saturday, March 17 as they travel to Rose-Hulman.
