Men's Track Pegged to Finish Eighth
GREENWOOD, IND. -- The Defiance College men's indoor track and field team was picked to finish eighth in the preseason Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference poll that was released on Tuesday afternoon.
GREENWOOD, IND. -- The Defiance College men's indoor track and field team was picked to finish eighth in the preseason Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference poll that was released on Tuesday afternoon.
The Yellow Jackets finished with 31 points in the poll, as they were picked to beat Transylvania University and Mount St. Joseph University.
Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology is the unanimous pick to win its eighth straight conference title, earning all ten first place votes. Anderson University, Hanover College, Bluffton University, and Manchester University round out the projected top half of the conference standings by the coaches in the conference.
The Defiance College track team will return to action for the first time in 2018 on Saturday, Jan. 20 as they travel to SPIRE Institute in Geneva, Ohio to do battle in the Carnegie Mellon Invitational. The meet is scheduled to begin at 11 a.m.
