Nolfi and Rodriguez compete in Toledo
TOLEDO, Ohio – As the track and field season nears its end, a couple throwers from DC traveled up I-75 to compete in the Toledo Invitational.
TOLEDO, Ohio – As the track and field season nears its end, a couple throwers from DC traveled up I-75 to compete in the Toledo Invitational.
Anthony Nolfi (Akron, Ohio / Ravenna Southeast) and Jacob Rodriguez (Ligonier, Ind. / West Noble) showed that they belonged, competing in the invitational that featured NCAA DI schools such as Michigan and Eastern Michigan.
The Yellow Jacket duo participated in the hammer throw and stayed very competitive despite the fierce competition.
Nolfi saw the best finish between the two. He finished inside the top 10 with a throw of 48.80 meters. With the throw he did beat a DI thrower and two DII throwers.
Rodriguez also had a strong day with a throw of 43.70 meters. He finished in 14th place.
