Hammer Throw Hurl Earns Second for Postema

DELAWARE, Ohio – Senior Tom Postema registered another great toss on his outstanding season Monday, May 13 at the Ron Altoff Invitational. Getting ready for nationals competition, the thrower took part in the hammer at the meet. [Results]

Postema came up big in the outing, as the Tinora High product threw his second-farthest mark in the hammer throw all season. Postema chalked up a distance of 63.92 meters for second and was the top collegiate member at the event. The toss still beats any other Div. III throwers mark in the event this season.

The Defiance, Ohio, native will continue to represent the DC men's track and field team tomorrow, Tuesday, May 14, as he will finish out the invitational by competing in the discus and shot put throws. Action is scheduled to begin at 12 p.m.
