Men’s Track and Field Ranked Sixth in Great Lakes Region
DEFIANCE, Ohio – The Defiance College men’s track and field team was ranked sixth in the Great Lakes Region and 30th in the nation in this week’s d3rankings.us poll. The Yellow Jackets also ranked second in the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference
DEFIANCE, Ohio – The Defiance College men's track and field team was ranked sixth in the Great Lakes Region and 30th in the nation in this week's d3rankings.us poll. The Yellow Jackets also ranked second in the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference.
The Jackets have totaled 123.80 points in the d3rankings poll.
Defiance is led by junior Tom Postema, freshman Reggie Neal and senior Jordan Weber. Postema currently ranks tenth in the nation in the shot put, 17th in the discus and tenth in the hammer throw. The junior is first in the HCAC in all three events. Neal ranks third in the conference in the triple jump and second in the long jump. Weber is ranked fourth in the HCAC in the 110-meter hurdles.
The Yellow Jackets will be in action on Saturday, April 7th at 10:00 am. The team will travel to Adrian, Michigan to take part in the Adrian Invitational.
