Jackets Post Several School Records at Wesleyan Invitational
MARION, Ind. – DC’s indoor track and field team competed at the Indiana Wesleyan Invitation meet on Saturday, January 30. The team set four school records and had numerous athletes earn spots on DC’s all-time indoor track top-ten performances list.

DC's Ryan Perry ran the second fastest 60 meter dash at the meet, crossing the line in 7.04. The sprinter also finished sixth in the 200 meter dash with a time of 23.40.
In the 400 meter dash, Aaron Demecs placed third overall and set a new Defiance College record, finishing in 51.50. Aaron Bronson also set a new school record in the 600 meter dash as he finished in 1:25.95 for a sixth-place finish.
The records would continue to fall as DC's Seth Bidlack finished the 1000 meter run in 2:38.75 to rank first all-time for the Yellow Jackets. Hayden Krick and Aaron Fraley followed closely behind with times of 2:43.56 and 2:46.33 to place fourth and fifth all-time respectively.
The 4x200 relay team of Ryan Perry, Dan Hardin-Wallace, Brian Downs and Aaron Demecs finished fifth in the race with a time of 1:36.48, which places them sixth in DC's top-ten list. The 3,200 meter relay team of Seth Bidlack, Aaron Bronson, Aaron Fraley and Hayden Krick posted a new DC record of 8:20.44, which was good enough for a second place finish in the meet.
In field events, Austin Trivett placed second among all competitors in the pole vault, clearing a height of 14-09.00. Tyler Anderson cleared 14-03.25 which earned third in the meet and places Anderson in third place on DC's all-time performance list. Michael Hauser led the DC throwers, recording a distance of 41-01.75 in the weight throw, which earns him a seventh place ranking on the top-ten list.
The track team is scheduled to return to action on February 6, when they compete in the Taylor Inviational in Upland, Ind. The meet is set to begin at 10:00 a.m.
