Trivett Takes HCAC Track and Field Weekly Honors
GREENWOOD, Ind. – Defiance College’s Austin Trivett was honored by the HCAC as the Men’s Field Athlete of the Week for March 14-21. The Defiance, Ohio, native was outstanding on Saturday, leading the Yellow Jackets to a first-place team finish at the 15th annual Dick Small Invitational.

Trivett took first place in the pole vault, clearing 4.32 meters, and the javelin throw with a heave of 46.73 meters, and finished second at the meet in the high jump. The junior also won the 110 meter hurdles to complete the day in which he personally accounted for 38 of the team's 227 points.
Trivett, a 2010 HCAC Preseason Runner to Watch, is one of the most versatile athletes in Defiance College track and field history, with top-ten performances in six different events on DC's all-time outdoor performances list.
The Defiance College track and field team will resume competition on Saturday, March 27, when they travel to Marion, Ind., to compete in the Indiana Wesleyan Polar Bear Invitational. The meet is scheduled to begin at 10:00 a.m.
