Jackets Post Numerous Personal Records at Polar Bear Invite
MARION, Ind. – The Defiance College men’s outdoor track team and field competed in the Indiana Wesleyan Polar Bear Invitational on Saturday, March 27, which did not record team results. The team looked strong in what was their second outdoor track meet of the season.

Mid-distance runners Seth Bidlack and Aaron Bronson showed up big at the meet. Bidlack finished the 800 meter run in 2:02.17 for the second-best time in the HCAC this season. Bronson came in a split-second later, posting a personal-record time of 2:02.18, which ranks him third in the conference this year.
Matt Rohlf continued his strong season with a time of 35:39.07 in the 10,000 meter run, which ranks the sophomore runner third all-time at Defiance, and sixth in the HCAC.
Tyler Anderson soared to the top of the HCAC standings in the pole vault with a personal-record clearance of 14-03.25. Anderson now sits just a quarter of an inch behind Austin Trivett for the third-place spot on DC's top-ten performances list. Dan Hardin-Wallace posted a personal-record in the pole vault as well, clearing 13-09.25, which ranks him fourth in the conference.
In the throwing events, DC's Josh Beaverson had a big day. Beaverson's toss of 43.51 meters in the hammer throw places the sophomore third all-time at Defiance for the event.
The track and field team will resume action on Friday, April 2, when they host the Yellow Jacket Open. The meet is scheduled to begin at 10:00 a.m.
