Trivett, Hardin-Wallace lead Defiance at Yellow Jacket Open
DEFIANCE, Ohio – The men’s track and field team placed fourth out of seven teams at the Yellow Jacket Open on Friday, April 2, earning 97 points on the day. Highlighting the meet were DC’s pole vaulters, who notched the two highest marks in the HCAC this season.

Austin Trivett and Dan Hardin-Wallace each posted personal-records, clearing 14-05.25 in the pole vault to tie for first in the HCAC for the event this season.
Trivett went on the take first place in the javelin throw (161-02), placing third in the HCAC for the event, and second in the high jump, with a clearance of 5-11.50 feet.
Josh Herron had a great day for the Jackets, posting a personal-record 51.81 second 400 meter dash, which ranks third in the HCAC this season. Issac Wilkins was a step behind, coming in at 52.24 to place fifth in the conference.
Seth Bidlack came in at 2:00.17 in the 800 meter run to take third-place at the meet and third-place in the conference rankings.
In the 1,500 meter run, Hayden Krick jumped from fifth to third-place in the HCAC standings with a personal-record time of 4:11.09.
The Yellow Jackets' track and field team returns to action on Saturday, April 10, when they head to Michigan to compete in the Adrian Invitational. The meet is set to begin at 10:00 a.m.
