Trivett Leads DC at Gregory Invitational
NAPERVILLE, Ill. - Austin Trivett headlined a trio of DC athletes competing in North Central College's Gregory Invitational on Friday, as the sophomore reached a provisional qualifying mark for the NCAA Outdoor Championships in the decathlon.

The Defiance High School product set a personal-best in the event with a score of 6088, helping him become the second DC athlete in the last three years to record a provisional mark in the event. Trivett set personal records in four different events, highlighted by his 14-03.25 performance in the pole vault.
Brad Zarembski tallied a fifth-place finish in the high jump in his tune up for next weekend's NCAA Outdoor Championships, clearing 6-06.75. Justin Perkins fell just a half second shy of a personal-record time in the steeplechase, completing the event in 9:40.83 on his way to 16th-place.
The Jackets return to action next week at the NCAA Championships, as the event will get underway on Thursday, May 21, on the campus of Marietta College.
