Zarembski Finishes 11th at NCAA Championships
MARIETTA, Ohio – Brad Zarembski closed out his final campaign at Defiance with an 11th-place finish at the 2009 NCAA Outdoor Championships held on the campus of Marietta College, after clearing six-feet, eight inches in the high jump.
MARIETTA, Ohio – Brad Zarembski closed out his final campaign at Defiance with an 11th-place finish at the 2009 NCAA Outdoor Championships held on the campus of Marietta College, after clearing six-feet, eight inches in the high jump.
Zarembski cleared 6-08 on his third attempt at the height to finish in a four-way tie for the final All-American honor, but wound up 11th based on number of attempts. The junior wraps up his career with the Jackets as one of the most decorated high jumpers in school history.
The Springfield High School product claimed three HCAC high jump crowns, two All-Ohio Outdoor titles while garnering All-American recognition in 2007. He also excelled in the classroom at DC, ending his time on campus with a 3.89 cumulative grade-point average. That success led to multiple academic honors, including ESPN The Magazine and USTFCCCA Academic All-American accolades.
Zarembski will continue his education and athletic career at Long Beach State next fall, where he will pursue a master's of business administration.
