ANGOLA, IND. - The Defiance College men's tennis team returned to action Wednesday afternoon as they headed to Trine University. The Yellow Jackets were led by Ethan Harris (Huntertown, Ind./Carroll) in the 8-1 defeat to the Thunder.

ANGOLA, IND. - The Defiance College men's tennis team returned to action Wednesday afternoon as they headed to Trine University. The Yellow Jackets were led by Ethan Harris (Huntertown, Ind./Carroll) in the 8-1 defeat to the Thunder.

Harris grabbed the lone win for DC in number one singles action. After winning a first set tiebreaker 7-6 (7-2), the freshman stormed through the second set 6-1. The freshman has now started his Defiance athletics career with a 2-0 record.

Jared Schnee (Bellevue/Bellevue) grabbed a trio of games from his thunder opponent before falling 6-3, 6-0 to his Trine companion in number two singles.

In doubles action the duo of Harris and Micaiah Cox (Ft. Recovery/Ft. Recovery) fell in an 8-2 defeat.

The defeat brings the Yellow Jacket tennis record to 0-2 on the season. DC will next head to South Carolina as they take on a field of teams at the Palmetto Dunes Tennis Center next week.
