DC Falls to Huntington, 7-2

DEFIANCE, Ohio – The Defiance College men's tennis team fell 7-2 this afternoon to Huntington University in the Smart Center in Defiance, Ohio.

Defiance was victorious in just one of the three doubles flights, taking first doubles as Adam Swisher and Jared Schnee defeated the Foresters 8-6. At second doubles, Nathan Principe and Eline Widman were defeated 8-5 while No. 3 also went to HU as Micaiah Cox and Henry Brown fell 8-3.

In singles action, the lone Yellow Jacket to record a win was Henry Brown at sixth singles, winning 8-6. At first singles, Swisher was trumped 6-0, 7-5 while Schnee dropped second singles 6-3, 6-2. Widman was outlasted 6-3, 6-2 at No. 3 and Principe fell 6-1, 6-1 at fourth singles while Ring Lardner was defeated 6-3, 6-0 at No. 5.

The Yellow Jackets pick back up with HCAC action on Saturday, April 7 as they host Mt. St. Joseph at the George Smart Center. First serve is set for 11:00 AM.
