DC Tennis Defeated in First Match of the Season
BEREA, Ohio – The Yellow Jacket men’s tennis team opened up its season on Saturday at Baldwin-Wallace College. Defiance was defeated by a very good BW squad by a final score of 9-0.

In singles action, Baldwin-Wallace came out strong, and the Purple and Gold were unable to sustain any type of rhythm in any of the six matches. BW won each match in straight sets.
The closest match of the day for DC came at the number three doubles position. Freshmen Justin Walker and Tyler Thiel battled to an 8-4 defeat. The loss drops Defiance's record to 0-1 to begin the year and gives Baldwin-Wallace a record of 5-0 to begin its season.
Defiance College will next be in action on Saturday, March 3 for its home and Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference opener against Franklin. The match is scheduled to begin at 12:00 p.m.
