Goshen Edges Past DC Men’s Tennis
DEFIANCE, Ohio – The Defiance College men’s tennis team narrowly missed on scoring a non-conference victory at the Dix Tennis Facility on Sunday afternoon. The Yellow Jackets suffered a 5-4 defeat to Goshen College.
DEFIANCE, Ohio – The Defiance College men's tennis team narrowly missed on scoring a non-conference victory at the Dix Tennis Facility on Sunday afternoon. The Yellow Jackets suffered a 5-4 defeat to Goshen College.
Mike Ross and Craig Bills won, 8-1, at No. 3 doubles to send Defiance into singles play with a 2-1 deficit. Bills then won his match at No. 6 singles, while Cord Speelman won via forfeit at No. 5 and Austin Gray pulled out a 7-6, 7-6 win at No. 3. Goshen held on for the team victory however, winning at No. 4, along with the top two singles competitions.
Defiance (1-13) will be back in action on Wednesday, when it hosts Findlay at 3:30 pm.
