DC stayed hot by sweeping doubles action for the 3-0 advantage. Tyler Ault and Adam Fausey edged Orlo Yeagley and Anthony Honeywell, 8-4, in the closest double competition of the afternoon.
The Jackets then swept the top five singles matches in straight-sets and saw Aaron Cottos pull out a 6-7, 6-3, 10-8 win at No. 6 to complete the shutout victory.
Defiance (13-6, 5-2 HCAC) will try for its fourth-straight win on Saturday. DC will play at Manchester (1-10, 1-5 HCAC) in a 10:00 am match, with a chance to lock up a top-three finish in the HCAC standings with a victory.
