The Yellow Jackets broke free inside the box six minutes into the second half but Transylvania's defense was stout. In penalty kicks, both teams converted their first two attempts. Joshua Maurer and Armando-Campos Ortiz connected for the Yellow Jackets and Henry Roetker and Dylan Barnes converted for the Pioneers.

The two teams then continued penalty kicks into the sudden death round. Quinn Holtzapple started things off and missed high. Jacob Renneker won it for Transylvania on the next attempt as he just snuck it past Orry Killam.
