Jackets Held Scoreless in Loss at Bluffton

Despite outshooting the Beavers, 7-4, in the opening period, the Yellow Jackets went into halftime with a one-goal deficit after BU's Jacob Graham connected off an assist from Dylan Matthews in the 29th minute for the only score of the match. The Jackets edged Bluffton, 5-1, in second-half corner kicks, but goalkeepers Brian Good and Dan Saville kept the net clean to preserve the victory for Bluffton.
DC's Evan Allen led the Jackets in both shots (3) and shots on goal (2), while Tony Cornell and Kyle Johnson each recorded two shots and one shot on goal in the match. Sean Roberts held the Beavers to just one score with four saves in goal for Defiance.
The Yellow Jackets will return home to host Rose-Hulman (7-7-4, 4-2-2 HCAC), on Saturday, October 30, beginning at 3:00 p.m. The Engineers will be playing for the fourth and final spot in the HCAC tournament.
DC seniors, Chris Chabowski, Tony Cornell, Josh Hegemier, Greg McNutt and Matt Johnson will be honored at halftime of the match, in what will be their final game on the pitch for the Yellow Jackets.
