On Saturday, Defiance finished at 338 and with its 663 total is in eighth place. Transylvania University leads the tournament at level-par 576 (288-288) with Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology two strokes back at 578 after a sizzling 2-under 286 on day two.
The Yellow Jackets are being led by senior Hayden Clingaman, who has a 36-hole total of 152 (15th place in a 43-player field) after a 79 during the second 18 holes. Freshman Brenden Garvin posted two birdies on Saturday has been steady for DC, shooting back-to-back 81s for a 162 total (tied for 29th).
At 10 a.m. on Sunday, the final round of the tournament is slated to get underway.
