Men's Golf Begins Season at UNOH

LIMA, OHIO - The Defiance College men's golf team teed off their 2019 fall season Friday morning as they traveled to Hidden Creek Golf for the UNOH Invitational. As a team, DC landed ninth of nine teams. 

Hayden Clingaman (Styrker / Stryker) led the way for the Purple and Gold in the season opening trip around the course. The junior shot a 18-hole low of 79 and a combined 163 over the course of the day. On the day, the Stryker, Ohio native shot 19 over par for a 32nd place finish. 

Nick Galliers was the second top finisher for DC. The freshman finished the day in 37th, shooting 27 over par with a combined 36-hole score of 171. 

The Yellow Jackets will continue action Saturday, September 7 as they travel to the Ohio Cup in Findlay, Ohio.
