Men's Golf Wraps Up Fall Season at Red Hawk

FINDLAY, OHIO - The Defiance College men's golf team wrapped up the fall portion of their schedule on Friday afternoon with the Defiance Fall Invitational hosted at the Red Hawk Run Golf Club in Findlay, Ohio.

The Yellow Jackets were led on the day by freshman Federico Gutierrez (Queretaro, Mexico) with a team-best 78 including a birdie and 10 par shots for a 10th place finish.

UNOH won the team title with 298 strokes, while Aquinas College finished second with 316 strokes. The Purple and Gold claimed the fourth spot with 324 strokes.

Freshman Oliver Thomas (Margaretta) carded an 80 for the Yellow Jackets finishing tied for 14th, while freshmen Diego Gonzalez (San Luis Potosi, Mexico) and Werner Heinze (San Luis Potosi, Mexico) finsihed with 83 strokes for a 22nd place finish.  

Senior Stephan Dolan (Painesville Tep.) rounded out the scoring for DC shooting an 85 for a 26 place finish. 

Defiance will open the spring portion of their schedule in March with the Orlando Invitational.
