Men's Golf Wraps Up Defiance Invitational
DEFIANCE, Ohio – The Defiance College men’s golf team claimed a 12th place finish out of 17 teams at its two day Defiance Spring Invitational hosted at Eagle Rock Golf Club.
DEFIANCE, Ohio – The Defiance College men's golf team claimed a 12th place finish out of 17 teams at its two day Defiance Spring Invitational hosted at Eagle Rock Golf Club.
The Purple and Gold tallied a 36-hole total of 628 strokes (303-325), while Mount St. Joseph captured the team title with 584 strokes (286-298) and Tiffin University claimed second place shooting a 592 (301-291).
Senior Alex Miday (Canton/St. Thomas) paced the way for DC finishing tied for 22nd shooting a 151 (72-79). Freshman Daniel Acosta (Torreon, Mexico/Gary Gilchrist Academy) finished tied for 54th place with 158 strokes (76-82), while senior Adam McGinnis (Bloomville/Buckeye Central) posted an 80th place finish with a 165 (81-84).
Junior Stephan Dolan (Painesville Twp.) rounded out the scoring for the Purple and Gold with a 90th place finish out of 101 golfers.
The Yellow Jackets return to action on Saturday, April 28 and Sunday April 29 as they compete in the opening rounds of the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference Championships hosted by Franklin College.
