Men's Golf Competes at the Lourdes Spring Invitational
TOLEDO, Ohio - The Defiance College men's golf team claimed a fourth place finish of eight teams at the Lourdes Spring Invitational on Wednesday afternoon hosted at the Heather Downs Country Club. The Yellow Jackets finished the day with a team total of 328 strokes.

Senior Alex Miday (Canton/St. Thomas) led the charge for the Purple and Gold finishing tied for fourth place out of the 43 golfer field with 76 strokes. Freshman Hayden Clingaman (Stryker) captured a 20th place finish with 82 strokes, while senior Adam McGinnis (Bloomville/Buckeye Central) finished tied for 23rd with 84 strokes.
Freshman Daniel Acosta (Torreon, Mexico/Gary Gilchrist Academy) registered a 29th place finish for DC with 86 strokes and junior Stephan Dolan (Painesville Twp.) rounded out the scoring with an 87.
Junior Drake Moening (Defiance) competed as an individual for the Purple and Gold finishing tied for 33rd with an 88.
Will Williams of Rochester, Mich. won the Invitational shooting a 73, while Cleary University claimed the team title with 313 strokes.
Defiance returns to action Saturday, April 14 and Sunday, April 15 when they travel to Wooster, Ohio for the Nye Intercollegiate Invitational.
