Yellow Jackets take fifth in HCAC Tournament
DEFIANCE, Ohio – The Yellow Jackets shot a 303 today to keep their fifth place spot. Not only was the 303 the best that DC has shot this Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference Tournament, it was also the second best score of the day.

Mike Ross (Bryan, Ohio / Bryan) led the way for the Yellow Jackets with a 72 in round four. That score was tied for third best of any individual on the day. He ended 10th overall with a four round total of 310.
Jake Tinsley (Kettering, Ohio / Eaton) was right on Ross' heels in both the round and tournament total. He shot a 74 in round four and a 312 overall. Along with the scores that Tinsley put up, he was also named Co-Freshman of the Year. He finished tied for 13th.
Also shooting his best round of the tournament was Zach Weber (Ottoville, Ohio / Ottoville) with a 75. He had a four round total of 327.
Rounding out the scoring for DC on the day was Hurst Talbott (Columbus, Ohio / St. Charles Prep). He shot an 82 on the day.
Josh DeGroff (Stryker, Ohio / Stryker) also garnered an award for the Yellow Jackets. He was named to the HCAC All-Sportsmanship Team.
DeGroff and Ross took to the links for the final time for DC, as the HCAC Tournament was the last thing on the Yellow Jackets' schedule this season.
